Our Story

 

We are parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents dedicating this chapter of our lives to helping children in the poorest regions of Africa.

 

In 1999, we left our paying jobs and began a life of volunteer work in the developing world.  Working in Africa, we were touched by the children who were orphaned by the AIDS pandemic that was sweeping through the continent.  So many children were living on the streets with no one to care for them. 

 

Returning home in 2007, we determined that the best way to help these children was to raise funds in the United States so that we could continue our work in Africa.  In January 2020, we will visit Africa for the 19th time as we hold onto the dream of helping children survive and thrive.
