Bakhita Village is run by the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. This order of Sisters provides ongoing financial support along with the day-to-day administration of the home.  There is continuous need for financial support from individuals and organizations. 

 

One local organization in South Africa, Old Mutual Fund Financial Advisors, provided bedding, furniture, appliances, and other necessary items to get Bakhita Village up and running the first year.  The delivery of the gifts was a day to celebrate.  The girls performed some traditional dances for the gift givers and all who came to celebrate with us on that day.
